We have quite a few exciting upcoming social and team events that we’d like to share with you. 

Habit Dine Out – May 1^st

Please join us at our next dine-out at The Habit on Wednesday, May 1^st from 4 pm – 9 pm. They will be donating 20% of the sales to the team! You may bring a printed flyer (attached), save the flyer to your phone, or show the flyer from our website. The restaurant has a few reminders they would like to share:

• Please order at the register with a team member;  do not use the kiosks.
• Please be courteous to staff and others, especially during peak times.
• Please do not distribute any flyers in front of the store.
• Coupons cannot be used during the dine-out.

Picture Day

Team picture day is Thursday, May 9^th. More information will be shared next week. Picture forms will be in your swimmer's deck box folder this week. This deck box will also be used to store your swimmer(s) ribbons after swim meets. We will send an update when the deck boxes are ready!

Kick-off Dinner – May 10^th

Join us for free burgers to kick off the season! The event is from 5 pm-7 pm at the Adult Clubhouse, 17250 Los Jardines West, Fountain Valley. Please bring an item to share based on your last name initial (see attached). Please RSVP by clicking here. As a reminder, this is a team event open to swimmers and their immediate family members.

Brunch and Tote – May 19^th

Come design a tote bag and enjoy brunch on Sunday, May 19^th from 11 am-2 pm in the Family Clubhouse. You’ll have an opportunity to choose one of 4 designs. Tickets are $40 each and are available for purchase on our website. Space is limited.

All-Age Party – June 23^rd

We’re excited to have our all-age party at Wild Rivers on Sunday, June 23^rd in Irvine from 10:30 am-7:00 pm. GVST is subsidizing tickets for GVST swimmers. Tickets for swimmers are $20. Adults and siblings (not on the swim team) are $40. This event requires parental supervision. Tickets are available for sale now through May 17^th on our website. NO REFUNDS.

Coach update

This is a bittersweet announcement. Coach Sam will be leaving us as he accepted a full-time job offer with another company. He has had a positive impact on our swim team and families. We are sad to see him go but want to congratulate him and wish him success on this new opportunity!
