Here are a few things to keep in mind for the start of swim team:

• First day of practice is Monday (3/27). Times are below.
• All practices take place in the same pool (map).
• Please read the handbook (here) if you haven't already.
• DO NOT let your child out of car while idling in the street.
• Parents are not allowed on deck during practice.
• The first week is always crazy. Parking will be scarce. Arrive early.
• We have 240 swimmers on our team. It will take time for coaches to learn names.
• Please email me questions if you have them and let the coaches coach.

Things your swimmer needs for the first day of practice:

• Practice Swimsuit - Purchase a competition-style suit at CAS or another retailer for your child to wear for practice. Use code GVST to access the CAS webpage for our team to see examples of what the suit should look like. One-piece for girls. Brief or jammer for boys.
• Goggles - Purchase two pairs of goggles as these will break/get lost.
• Swim Caps - Purchase two swim caps as these will also break/get lost.
• Towel

Sharpie your swimmer's name on everything. Every cap and towel looks the same.

Team Swimsuit - CAS will be at the pool on Monday so swimmers can try on sample suits in the bathroom to check for size. You can purchase at the pool for pick up at the CAS store. Or you can try & buy at the CAS store.
