Hello GVST Families,

Swim season begins on Monday, April 8^th. Below are a few important reminders.

Practice

• We encourage all swimmers to attend the first day of practice.
• Please click here to view the practice schedule.
• Only coaches and swimmers are allowed on the pool deck during practice.
• Please arrive at the pool with swimsuits on and sunscreen already applied.
• Swimmers are required to wear goggles at practice. Coaches recommend swimmers wear swim caps.
• Bathrooms are open for swimmers, but please encourage kids to use the restroom at home before heading to practice.
• Swimmers should enter and exit through the side gate.
• Place towels/shoes on the side planter before getting into the pool

Safety

• Please remind kids to look both ways before crossing the street.
• Please do not stop in the middle of the street. Please pull over to the curb to drop off or pick up.
• Do not pull into the driveway for drop-offs/pickups during practice.
• Do not block resident's driveways.

Swimsuits

• Competitive Aquatic Supply will host a try-on event, at our pool, for parents who wish to purchase a team suit. They will be here from 3-6 pm.
• Swimmers are required to be dry and have on a dry swimsuit or underwear in order to try on swimsuits.
• For those who may not be able to make it to the try-on event, you can purchase a swimsuit in person at CAS (info is below).

• If you prefer to purchase a suit elsewhere, it needs to be an all-black swimsuit. As a reminder, boys need to wear a brief (speedo) or jammer. Girls need to wear a one-piece. No board shorts for boys or bikinis for girls.
• Returning GVST swimmers may wear a swimsuit from a previous season or an all-black swimsuit.

Spirit wear

Stop by our spirit wear table on Monday, April 8th to check out this year's merch. We will have hats, kids' hoodies, kids’ pajama pants, adult hoodies, and shirts for sale. We have a limited supply this year so first come, first serve. We will not be ordering additional merchandise so don’t wait until it's sold out!
