- DATA ENTRY: enters each swimmer’s time into the swim team database and generates reports for swimmers and coaches for all meets.
- FLOATER: You will be on standby and fill in for any vacant position or when extra help is needed. Please be prepared to work any job (timing, lane line up, etc.).
- FOOD BOOTH: Assist in the preparing and selling of food, including setting up or taking down, depending on shift. Sorry, no children are allowed in food booth.
- LANE LINE-UP: Check-in swimmers and write their names on their arms. Line up 5-8-year-old swimmers and escort them to the correct lane. First-half volunteers must report by 7:15 a.m. This volunteer job is recommended for parents with swimmers ages 8 and under.
- LANE TIMERS: are assigned to a specific lane and time each event; three timers are placed in each opponent lane.
- LANE WRITERS: are assigned to a specific lane and record the name of the swimmer and their times for each event. One for each Green Valley lane.
- PRE-PRINTED LANE SLIPS: Help punch holes, organize lane slips by lane, and place them in binders. Individuals should have strong organizational skills and attention to detail!
- RESTROOM MONITOR: Supervise restroom area, ensuring cleanliness and refilling toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- RIBBONS: Check stickers for accuracy and affix them to the appropriate ribbon.
- RUNNERS: pull the slips from the lane writer and deliver them to the scoring table.
- SET-UP: Help put up all equipment (i.e. tarps, computers, lane lines, blocks, tables, chairs, etc.)
- TEAR-DOWN: Responsible for taking down the equipment and cleaning up at the end of each home meet. Ensure pool and greenbelt areas are free of trash and everything is put away.
- TRASH MONITOR: Ensure cleanliness, trash cans are not overflowing, empty trash, and replace them with new trash bags.
